Countdown USA is a one-hour weekly show that features interviews with some of today's hottest Tejano stars such as Solido, Oscar De La Rosa and La Mafia,Emilio,Shelly Lares, Ruben Ramos, Pilar Montenegro, Ram Herrera, and many others. Countdown USA is hosted by Ben Gonzales, one of today's most recognized personalities in the Tejano music industry. It's one full hour of Tejano's best!

Known throughout the Hispanic music industry as the show which presents the most current & hottest 10 Tejano hits from across the nation and the world...Countdown USA with host Ben Gonzales is proud to continue syndicating to radio stations across the nation every week and now on the World Wide Web!!! The show was created in 1980 with the same concept but under the name "Exitos En America" (Hits In America). After a few years under this name the company felt that times and programming were changing in the Hispanic music industry. More versatile music and also more air personalities (DJ's) of Spanish radio stations were now bilingual. Our concept became as theirs..be more bilingual on programming with the intentions to reach more of our young generation and keep our current one. Countdown USA was born in 1984!

Ben Gonzales was born in Kingsville,Texas and raised in West Texas with surroundings of music almost all his life...since the age of five. As an entertainer himself before becoming an air personality for radio stations and networks, he brings his much musical background and experience to you every week on Countdown USA!
